Compliance and Quality Assurance Officer
Job Overview
Our client is seeking an exceptional Compliance and Quality Assurance Officer to join their organisation and play a key role in maintaining the highest standards across their care, HR, recruitment and sponsorship functions. This is a pivotal role for someone who is passionate about ensuring safe, high-quality care and robust regulatory compliance.
As part of their leadership and governance structure, you will help shape and strengthen the systems that keep our organisation safe, compliant and well-led.
About the Role
In this role, you will oversee compliance with:
- Home Office sponsor licence duties
- CQC regulatory requirements
- LocalAuthority contracts and quality standards
- Internal HR, recruitment, onboarding and workforce processes
You will ensure that documentation is accurate, systems are effective, and the team understand and follow the required standards. Your work directly supports safe care delivery, strong governance, and full regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Sponsor Licence & Workforce Compliance
- Maintain accurate sponsored worker filesin line with UKVI requirements
- Monitor right-to-work, visa expiry,absences, and reportable changes
- Support internal audits and Home Officecompliance visits
- Ensure rota allocation meets contracted hours forsponsored workers
HR, Recruitment & Onboarding Compliance
- Oversee document verification, trainingcompliance and staff file quality
- Support interviews, scoring andcompliance for CoS-eligible candidates
- Ensure all new starters complete required inductionand competency checks
Care Quality & CQC Compliance
- Assist with internal quality audits,observations, and evidence gathering
- Support the Registered Manager inachieving high CQC standards
- Identify risks and implement corrective actionplans
Quality Assurance & Governance
- Conduct regular audits across HR,training, recruitment, care planning and incident reporting
- Maintain risk registers, audit logs andcompliance dashboards
- Prepare weekly and monthly compliance reports forsenior management
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in compliance, quality assurance, HR, governance or care regulation
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as CQC, UKVI sponsor duties orLocal Authority quality standards
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify gaps or risks
- Strong organisation and analytical skills
- Confident communicator able to support, guide and influence staff
- High standards of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality
- Experience with sponsor licence processes, CoS assignment or SMS reporting
- Experience supporting CQC inspections or LA audits
- Experience delivering training or coaching on compliance topics
- Previous experience in a regulated care environment
